Welcome to SeeSaLT, My name is Rebecca Wainwright, BA, BSc (Hons), PGCAT AAC, a Northwest-based Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist with over 20 years of experience working with children for the NHS and local authorities. Before creating SeeSaLT, I was a dedicated Speech and Language Therapist for a local primary school with enhanced provision. I worked with a Multidisciplinary Team forming part of a local AAC Service (CAAT).
I have vast experience working with children with a wide range of speech, language and communication difficulties aged between 1-18 years old. I attend many Nurseries, Schools, and Client's homes everyday. My expansive knowledge of early years and primary school curriculum is fundamental, this allows me to fully support preschoolers and school-aged children in developing their communication skills.
I am an accredited and registered member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT), the HCPC (Health & Care Professions Council) and ASLTIP (Association of Speech and Language Therapists in Independent Practice).

Our philosophy is to provide interventions that are purposeful, relevant, and fun whilst remaining motivational and meaningful so that they can make a real difference to the lives of the children and families we work with. We want to give every child we work with the chance to meet their full communication potential. Communication is the key to emotional well-being and academic success, so for children struggling with their speech, language, and communication skills, the impact can be substantial.
We use a combination of up-to-date tools and techniques that enable us to fully understand your child's communication needs. We are also aware that early intervention is best and children learn most from those around them, so we tailor a plan to provide you with some of the tools to help weave communication skills into your child's daily life so that real-life and measurable progress can be seen.
I offer flexible assessment and therapy arrangements to suit your child’s needs. I will continually liaise with all those involved to ensure the current plan and intervention approaches are having a positive impact on your child’s speech, language, and communication development.
If you've been trying to get support for your child, you may have felt like you have been hitting a brick wall with no idea when you will be seen. We aim to make accessing children's speech and language therapy as stress-free as possible. We have strong links with our colleagues in the NHS and private hospitals. We are always keen to work collaboratively with a range of health, education, and care professionals to ensure our support is coordinated and child-centred. Booking your speech therapist appointment is easy. Use our contact form, and one of the team members will contact you as soon as possible.
Communication development is a complex puzzle, and at times it can be difficult to understand why your child may have some of the puzzle pieces missing or not quite in the right place. If you feel you and your child need some additional support to complete the communication puzzle, then I may be able to help. If you have concerns in any of the areas detailed below regarding your child’s speech, language, and communication skills, then please contact me to discuss what we may be able to achieve together.
Areas of expertise
We can also work in tandem with your local NHS service if you are already under their care. We can also liaise with any other health or educational professional that your child has been referred to with your permission.
